I read that post on the other forum yesterday, and about fell out of my chair when I saw those prices.

I think what most people are really upset with is, RE really grew to what it is now by being a Internet company that sold quality equipment at a good price.

But now, they've turned their backs on all the people that helped them get there.

It's really too bad, I know a few people who want a system but don't want to spend a bazillion dollars on stuff. I've been recommending RE, because of the quality and price. But now these people will most likely just buy the crap they see at car toys that's on sale.

I wish tho, during the group buy I would have bought some SE's instead of the RE's. Never see those prices again. Really wish I would have had the money to buy a bunch of stuff, and sell it on ebay now!

Well, the majority stockholder is now a different person, and this makes RE, for all intents and purposes, an entirely different company. One who is not interested in those core values... of quality product, MFR direct, at great prices.

RE is apparently about taking that name and it's history, and making big profits off it. Sadly, this is nothing new. Look at all the companies Zed Audio once built quality products for, and where are those brands now?

So, my feeling on it is, turn your backs on us, no problem, we'll reciprocate in kind. Even if their quality does not decline, it doesn't make much difference to me, knowing prices we really should be paying, as compared to what they'll be gouging for at the dealers.
