A single 8" hitting 142? I'd have to see it to believe it. Not to be a naysayer or anything, but 71buick you claim a lot, with not much to back it up.
I remember Kicker laying claim with the loudest 8" woofer. Of course it has more cone area, so naturally it will get louder than a round sub given all other specs were the same.
I believe it was 137 dB in a slot port inside a mid/late 80's camaro....
