okay okay, I was a little confused with what you said my mistake. Prefab boxes arn't the best to go with, but if you go sealed I say prefab isn't to bad unless it's really cheap wood. All you really need is to find the right size from the prefab and your set, as it's a little more forgiving them a ported one.
You should hear/feel/rattle a lot more when you go ported.

Hey, make sure that your current box doesnt have any leaks. I notice that ALOT of prefabbed boxes leak, which is a performance killer. It wouldnt take much to take the subs out and trace the seams with liquid nails (or whatever you like to use) just to help insure theres no leaks...
My first system consisted of the following
Pioneer deh-245
Infinity Ref 6.5's
JBL 600.1
2 12" kicker comp vrs (sealed, 1.25 cuft each)
I loved it, it got pretty loud and actually sounded pretty damn good... I listened to everything from nora jones to vision of disorder and it never disapointed me...
I know alot of people will disagree, but I think the cvrs are pretty good street beater subs...

don't worry about it high society, i probably worded it in a confusing manner. no leaks in the prefab box, but i am going to design a new system. my major for college was ID/transportation design(industrial design with a focus on designing cars, trucks, bikes, boats, etc.(the design, appearance portions, i'm no engineer)) so i have some experience in laying out different things, doing ortho drawings, and modelling things 3dimensionally including work with mdf and plexi. i'm going to design a ported box(with help and pointers from all of you on this board :) ) for the cvrs, purchase a new amp for them in the fall, and then probably fill the sealed box with solid 12s and use or sell them with the 750.1. might have to purchase a new car because i'm running out of room.....<<<joke, oh yeah and I agree with mobile, i like the compvrs for their potential so far, and am looking forward to this fall with the new setup.
