My bad, the tech manual just says that round ports are not recommended. Yeah, that wouldn't make much sense not to recommend rectangular ports when you are building a slot-ported box :tongue009

factory rec's are a sham anyway

So then what size and all do you recommend for a ported box for 1 12" Kicker CVR

IMO...if you look in the kicker tech manual...just pick the right box that describes what you want. I built my box from the kicker tech manual, and it gets LOUD for a single 10" L7. The only thing i might recommend making a change to is the tuning frequency. I kno kicker recommends a tuning frequency of 38 for my sub...which is a little too high for my liking...im just too lazy to build a new box. Plus i would need to make the box a little larger to offset the port volume.

so don't follow the manual? lol

they give alot of box designs for the l7, not so for the CVR.

2 cubes ish 30hz ish.. any more would be shooting myself in the foot
