You can first try building (or buying) a new box. I don't know what you have now, but if you have a sealed box, go ported.

Most members here are not big fans of Audiobahn and Kicker Solos (Squares).

We have had enough experiences with or have dealt with many numerous people with problems with this gear.

I havent read the whole thread, but the easiest way to make a system louder is with a bigger amp. Now if your speakers are getting rated power you need to add speakers or change them out.

Highpower doesnt = more output when your looking into a new setup. Dont get sucked into the "You need to run 2,000 WATTS RMS to be competitive" bit.

Do a little research. Based off the research get a list of possibilities together. THen lay out a budget. Buy piece by piece. Very few of us can just go out and buy a ton of stuff at once :) SO we know this routine very well :D

I kno from experience. DO NOT run a kicker L7!!!

Even tho i have both a kicker L7 and an audiobahn amp in my truck...its not the best set up. Ive sent 4 L7's back to kicker for repair and 1 i repaired myself.

You're better off chossing something off the infamous "good, bad, and ugly" list in the FAQ's.

The Kicker L7 (solobarics for that matter) are notorious for having their tinsel leads break (the wires from the terminal to the cone). So they break often, basically. Their Comp VR's are good though. Just another reliablity issue.

^^ Ditto to what kiki said ^^

If you play the L7's at moderate volume w/o pushing them to the limit, the will get fairly loud. But yes, as william stated, the tinsel leads to tend to snap as i have had to solder one back on.
