What do you think?

Post by chinny »

I was just curious, right now i have 2 AudioBahn 12's AW121T 550RMS being pushed by an AudioBahn Audiobahn A2502DP True Digital Series 500x2 or 1000x1 Birdged Mono @ 2ohms and they make my eyes want to pop out from so much bass.

Ive read so many bad things about Audiobahn and from what i have seen from my subs and some of my other boy's sub is good things only.

So back to the topic, what do you think of this sub, or have you heard it?

Around here...we dont like Audiobahn. Even tho i have an Audiobahn amp, its not the greatest quality. They tend to over rate thier products and dress them up with a bunch of chrome.

What exactly are u looking for in a stereo? What is your reasoning for buying a new sub? Do you want more sound quality or something that is louder?

There are a lot more brands out there that are probably cheaper and better quality. Even tho they arent dressed up w/ chrome.

I dont care about the chrome, and idk why people hate on Bahn that much, i mean, its not like Boss that they really over rate their products, i dont think audiobahn really over rates their products but thats just me. I wanted 2 of these, or i was thinking of getting 2 MTX Thunder 9500 but i dont think ill have enough for that so i would of have to go with the Eternals, i mean, right now iam really happy with my 2 bahn 12's in my Neon, they really stir things up but i just wanted to upgrade in the future.

The biggest concern with them is the reliability. Their subs have had a BAD reliability reputation for a while. People seemed to kill the drivers easily for no reason.

Everyone here was gung-ho for eD, but then we found out about their serious flaw in their drivers. Basstronics found it out the hard way. Since those line of flawed subs, they've redesigned everything, but everything is a good notch below the previous in SQ and output.

Becase the lifespan nad build quality of Audiobahn is shit. The sound quality is shit. They are just chrome-plated boom subs and speakers made to dazzle the eyes.

chinny, decide for yourself. If you are happy with your current setup, then that's great! Of coruse, bump with it for a while and see how the subs hold up. If they are hitting as hard as they were the first day, then you have every right in the world to buy their subs again.

But if you think you wanna try new things or if your current subs blows up on you, we'll be here to help!

I know nothing of Audiobahn, but unless you plan on upgrading your amp as well I don't see how much an improvement those subs would be SPL-wise. After looking at that inner tube of surround it actually might be a downgrade. If your happy with what you have why change anyways? Personally I like my eyes right where they are, but maybe you're looking to add bleeding ears to your list of anatomical effects.
