pretty nice amp

i think im gonna get it i can get it off a friend for 200
what do you guys think of the jl audio 500/1

the JL 500/1 amps are pretty good amps. The only problem is that they cost quite a bit of money. From the price you will pay from a dealer, you can get the same quality for cheaper. If you can get a deal on it, i would say go for it though. They are very nice amps.

i might get that jl too i saw one at a garage sale for 250. i think i can get it for less cuz these people are moving back to russia and need to sell everything. they even got a little honda accord that appears to be in good shape i might get that cuz my van and truck both have 350s and burn way to much gas

well its a good amp for 250 you can get somethng nicer in my opinion. and its always good to have head room! If your gettin the kicker 700.5 what do you need another amp for?

i like to buy things when they are good deals. i do it alot then sell them for more later. what do you think would be a better buy for 250

Nothing will really be better for $250 really..... unless you are buying used. 500rms @4ohm from a good quality amp will cost you well over that.

Kicker makes a good amp, it'd be hard to beat that amp for the price.

I don't see why. The L7s are really the only "bad" thing they offer, and even those do have some benefits as far as SPL goes. They're very common, but other than that they make solid stuff.

id look for a used zapco on ebay. i got my 6channel for 225 and it puts out alot more power than that kicker.
