Memphis is "ok" but really if you are looking for a bit more sq/sql i would check out Ascendant Audio Assassins...
http://www.AscendantAudio.com
Check them out they are a good price and they perform much better than the Rockford Fosgates
Another site you might want to consider is Fi Car Audio...

i remember the older rf stuff being punch and pro series....black pressed cones with white writing, then they brought out the series 1 to offer an entry line....

ok i will check them out, but back to my other question. Based on my trunk space and the type of car that i have should i go with 2 15's or 4 12's. That's what i'm really stuck on. If i could decide what setup to go with then i can consider what brand of subs. This is where i really need help at.

4 12's....your gonna move more air, your gonna need more power though....and more box......but based strictly on boom factor 4 12's will be the higher output way to go unless you want to get really funky and do a "bill" which is to say, build a box that takes a degree in both engineering and jizmopping to design.......

that's what i was thinking, but will i have enough air space in my trunk to accomadate 4 12's and how would they sound if i had the box built with them firing facing up toward the trunk lid?

That would depend on the subs as to whether you have the airspace. Pick a sub you would like to go with, then figure out your space issues. Your box, size and all, will change, and should change, based on the drivers your choose.
