Evidently this is the new hot spot to buy Rainbow over the net...

Probably not authorized...

As per a thread I read on carstereos.org (Adire's forum), AudioJunkies, LowHz and one other site weren't authorized. That was some time ago, so maybe that has changed since they say they are authorized for every product they sell. So take that for what it's worth.
Pennypushers and showrides were the other ones.

Edit: Just tried to pull up all the sites and AJ and showrides are the only ones that work now. So I'm guessing they got things smoothed out and are indeed selling legit.

The majority of metal tweeters that i can generally afford i dont like.. that is probably a better way for me to put it, most components i do get to hear with metal domes, even for the most part the boston pros are not what i like to here.

If you have enough equalization, you can get a tweeter, any tweeter to sound how you want them to. I have possibly some of the harshest tweeters known to man (Focal TN52s) and when they were properly tuned, the music just soothed me, rather than jostled me.

Nor are all soft dome tweeters "smooth". :thumbsup

And "comprehensive reviews" aren't going to reveal anything conclusive on (if the reviewer even makes an attempt to comment on) appropriate applications for the speakers.

Seen a reviewer comment on the directionality characteristics of a speaker lately?
When was the last time the reviewer discussed the appropriatenesss of either an unusually low, or unusually high crossover point, and the reason you might prefer one over the other given your proposed speaker locations?
When was the last time you heard a reviewer criticize a component set for that matter? Can't upset the advertisers (and can't review a non-advertiser! :scorp: ).

And THAT is the "certified and qualified" professional reviewer.

You've come onto a forum, where inherently those with the quickest / briefest "suggestions" are inherently going to be the most novice of the bunch, with the professionals unable to answer such a vague question without asking more questions themselves (like "why be hung up on a predisposed choice of brand?").

So garner what you want from that.

If you are looking for suggestions, being defensive won't get them.
If you just want to hear people say "Yeah... what you said", then that's a different story. :words

Is low-hz/com legit? The prices are sort of unbelievable.

Low Hz is authorized to sell Stereo Integrity, Incriminator Audio and Mass Destruction. They also sell Sound Stream, Massive and Cadence, but get them through a distrubutor. They offer warranties on all the products that are not authorized, so think they can be considered legit.
