ohm question

That pic you sent me, i have no idea how those are wired. that is the wierdest config i have ever seen. Follow the rockford wiring wizard and it'll show you the correct way to get 4 ohms.

I was at a car audio shop the othere day and the guys working there couldn't understand how it works, lol. There is only + wire going into one side of the box and a_ going into the othere side. One guy just scratched his head and swore it couldn't work. lol......

Well, you usually do wire the 2 (or more) subs together to get them to work in Mono. So that they play the exact same notes at the same time. So yes, having only one positive and one negative go into the box is normal. how you have the subs wired together inside however...isnt normal.

Sure it works, but it might be making your amp work at an odd ohm load. If i were you, i would try to rewire them as per the rockford wiring wizard. you might notice a change for the better...you never know!

So you have an A1200/4 amplifier, correct? Which is stable to a 4 ohm bridge? And two DVC 4ohm subs? You'd simply wire the voice coils in series, and the subs parallel to the amplifier. Like wiring option #2 on the link Ridr4lif posted. That's the best option for you.
