ok... my friend and i were thinking...if i were to get a new HU is it going to blow my old speakers in my doors and back seat because there is more power going to them? they are all stock on my toyota camry 01 so i really dont know.
on a side note here... i think i have found a HU that i REALLY like! its JVC KD-AR760 Arsenal Series
http://www.sonicelectronix.com/item_3717.html
basicly it has everything i want... aux input, a nice EQ, remote, and good brand) ... only thing is that it is about 190 shipped to my door.... a little more than i want to spend. if anyone is an arsenal dealer you just let me know

i have a 93 camry and when i first put in my old HU it made the speakers sound much better. nothing compared to aftermarket of course.

If it
a) exceeds the thermal limitations of the driver
b) drives the speaker into overexcursion
it can kill it. Other than that, you could send a 100% clipped wave to a driver and not kill it if you don't exceed these limitations.
