i think tommorow im going to go ahead and order the re8. i'm listening to music on my current radio, its fricken pathetic.

what i really need help with is picking a receiver. but what if i put like 2 of those tangband 3" dirvers in one box... im not lookign to have these huge towers in my room, just something i could fit on a bookshelf or my computer desk.

that is for the dual 13 sub, I have put a down payment on the single 13" sub. I figure it will be the last sub I will ever need so I am willing to donate my hard earned money to the cause. Model number is 113 Fathom. the
dual 13 is the 213 Gotham. I have already heard one at a showroom and that thing is a monsterous as it's price. If you want a no hold's barred subwoofer for your theater, that bad boy is IMO one of the top 10 available world wide.

you can pretty much put together alot of differnt drivers like 3 woofs a mid and a tweeter if you want but the hardest part is figuring out the crossover which is what im trying to get right now i had to buy a 90 dollar program too so that sucks.

limited budget, best bet for home audio is a home theater in a box.
get an all in one system that includes the sub/sats

not at all. I've seen plenty of decent HTiaB solutions. They're getting better every year, too.
for $500, the cost of a decent entry level AV receiver, you can get a good Onkyo HTiaB with 7.1 speaker system. All you do is add a $100 DVD player and the TV and you're done.

you cant get a very good htiab from walmart but their is some pretty decent ones out there for not too much more than the walmart crap. make sure you adution it before you buy.

i gues the thing is... is that im not looking for a full 7.1 system... i just want 2 speakers (called satellites i guess?), a receiver, and the subwoofer

so you want a 2.1 and you want some kinda good book self speaker. the rear speakers are the satelites that add rear fill. werent you thinking about getting an RE sub? if so use that for home audio. even the cheapest car sub is better than the ones in the boxes. and get a pair of these for your bookshelfs http://www.partsexpress.com/pe/showdetl ... er=300-642 and watch ebay for a good reciever with a sub out thats powered and you can run that RE sub off of that till you get enough for a plate amp.
