Fiberglass Tonneau Good deal???

Post by CaptainPioneer »

Aight i have recently gotten a good price on a Used 2.5 years old Fiberglass Tonneau cover for my truck... He only wants $200 for it... U think its a good deal?

I know most of them start at around $500 and go on up...

Pluses to this... I really need one of these cause i hate having to move shit in my truck in the rain and nothign covers it.

Downside... The guy lives 1.5 hrs away from me and its Marroon and the last time i checked the color of my truck it is forest green...

At least the colors kinda work out lol It will be the christmas truck! Lol ...

If i get it i plan to paint it Black most likely i figure this is the cheapest method unless i can find some colormatched paint for my truck...

Any ideas how much paint i would need and clear and what other expenses i would run into... BTW ive never painted anything on a vehicle b4.

Let me know if this is the procedure...

Rough sand....
Prime...
Paint

Clear

clear?
