How do I replace a MOSFET inside the amp?

I've gotten lucky a few times and got them working, but you really need the right tools, and be good at soldering. You can destroy a PCB pretty easily if keep heat on them too long.

hmm yea i think i would leave it to the pro's and most likely i wouldnt even fix an amp if it was super old... I would buy a new one :) lol

send it to db-r.com solve all the problems %90 of all repairs are under $100, of that $90 most are under $60 , well worth the price and they do it the correct way....

It was just the grammar, hard to comprehend without punctuation.

Anyways, the amp is a Rockford Fosgate 2 channel amp. I don't see a model # on it. All it says is 600 watts on it. Where should I take it, like Best Buy or a car audio shop? All this amp does is power one 10" sub. Should I just toss it and look for one on ebay?

Need to find out what the model # is, and what the cost of a replacement would be.

If you take it somewhere to get fixed, you'll get charged a bench fee of at lest $25, that is just for they will look at it.

Plus parts
Plus Labor.

If it's a lower line amp (less then a $200), then most likely you'll be better off just getting a new one.
