Got a raise today

Yes 28K isnt the world, but one can get by if you are humble.

If thats salary I would fight it then too. Especially if there is a fair amount of overtime.

I got a friend who made $46K last year, she makes like $11.50 and hour...

congrats brent! thats a 25% raise, nobody gets that much these days! rarely anyways.

I plan on asking tomorrow. If its salary I am asking for more. Only because I could make quite a bit more hourly with overtime.

I am happy with what I got. However negotiation is part of my job and I was put in a hard spot with my managers sitting in the room with me. When I go in tomorrow I am only asking if I am hourly or salary. That makes a difference...

Well, great news, I am hourly and was raised an additional 5k. Life is sweet!!!!!!!!!

Thank you thank you, I will remember you all.

My bosses were cool, they told me I was hourly, and I asked them if it would be appropriate for us to negotiate now. We negotiated, and they were quite easy with me. They did tell me no negotiation would have taken place Tuesday with my managers present. Thats what they do, said most people don't come back, of course thats why they sit still I was told. Had no prob giving me the additional.
