Not likely... unless you crank the gains as if it was a volume control, but that could destroy any sub(s) and run the risk of frying the amp... Interfire recommends their own D3000.1 amp (2200wrms @ 1ohm) for those, so they'll handle the MM2000 :)

Diamond Audio D9 is a great sub for SQL but they are a bit pricey... i would reccomend that no problem...

ive had numerous MM2000.1s and im sponsored by autotek so if you have any questions regarding the amp let me know.
- thanks a bunch to all the suggestions but i think i will go along with the Fi BL / BTL or massive 2412 and 2415 .......not sure cuz im still doing more research as i shoulda before
- thanku much for the website Bill cuz i can customize my subwoofer.....do you think i'll have to run my amp @ 4 ohms to be on the safe side for the BL??? if so, i might have get the BTL eh? would it be better to buy the upgrades for the BL or would i be better off getting a BTL? will i have to upgrade the main components(batt./alt/kinetic battery) if i get the BTL? have you hooked up a BTL to your mm2000.1d? i heard that i would need a good amount of power to get the BTL to KNOCKK? is it tru?.....i love the fact that i wont have to turn the volume high for superior bass.....thanks again Bill

Honestly your best bet would be to go with the BL upgraded the BTL is mainly and SPL woofer and lacks Sq however i know alot of guys who run them daily.

Ohm: 2 ohm DVC
P Chamfer: No
Cooling: Yes
Flatwind: Yes
Daily or SPL: Daily
Extreme Lead: Yes
Universal: Yes
Quantity: 1

that sir would be perfect for you. the Bl will take the power. at 1 ohm mono u will see about 1350 Real watts. because of the impedance rise and inherent resistance you will get about 1350. if you get dual 1s and run it at .5 you will see about 1700 REAL WATTS

how many watts

Post by AuToBoT »

hey Bill just wondering if you know the maximum watts for the BL? i dont want to overwork it.....does the mm2000.1d put out the rms as stated on their website?....i was confused by your last post about the power i could have.....i would like to have it running @ 2 ohms......but i guess i can settle for 1000watts rms@ 4 ohms if the set-up's that efficient.....wat do u think i can get away with? does ficaraudio have pretty good customer service? have you had experienced or heard anythin negative bout Fi and their products? are sealed enclosures not recommended for their subs? if so, how come? sorry bout all da questions....

Yes it does ;)
1000wrms x 1 @ 4ohm
1500wrms x 1 @ 2ohm
2000wrms x 1 @ 1ohm

And although Bill and I don't agree on some things, we do both agree that the BL would be a good choice... and quite a few people here have purchased Fi and I haven't heard a single complaint yet ;)

Because you will almost never see the watts rated from an amplifier. the amplifiers are rated with perfect conditions at an optimal load. a lot of variables change in a car and that changes the out put of the amp like voltage drop impedance tempeture.

get the dual 2 and run it at 1 ohm. get the options i suggested the sub will be fine.
