Need Help Matching mm2000.1d

Post by AuToBoT »

sup guys.....i was hoping to get some xpert advise from those who knows a thing about high end car audio.....i recently just fried my MA Audio HARD KORE HK12X2 voice coil @ 2ohms in custom box over the weekend.....sucks cuz i had the gain turned down all the way & only had it for 2 weeks.....here are the specs on my amp:
MM 2000.1D
1000-Watts RMS x 1 @4ohms
1500-Watts RMS x 1 @2ohms
2000-Watts RMS x 1 @1ohm
i turned to this site to pick out my amp but didnt for my subwoofer.....and i paid for it....im looking for more spl than sq......although i would love to get a sub for both :argh ......my budget is between $200-$450.....i guess you could say im looking for a monster quality sub.....i wouldnt mind going with two 12's but im limited wid trunk space.....so im stuck with 1 12 or 15.....im willing to custom build my sub box with the ideal parameters so thats the last thing im going to worry about.....im somewhat new to the car audio field cuz i havent experienced with much other than pioneer,audiobahn,kenwood,etc....im looking for a serious sub for my hungry amp.....all opinions are welcome.....but keep in mind i dun kno too much so please interpret the lingo 4 me

I have a nice 12 sub that would go well with that amp. its an oz audio matrix elite 12. with dual 2 ohm coils. its very loud but still retains quite a bit of sq

another sub to look at would be the Olympus series the 1612 1615 are 1600 watt RMS and 12 and 15 respectively and the massive 2412 and 2415 are 2400 RMS and 12 and 15 both have very high efficiency's and are very nice for loud daily options.

I was gonna mention the Massive DMX-12 (handles 2500w rms) Quad 1 ohm driver so endless configurations or if you really want to go with 2- 12" Interfire Pro-V12s (1000w rms) and each would require less than 2 cu. of space in a sealed enclosure and still get loud ;)
