This is going to suck....

Post by MobileAudio219 »

So, I think I have a sleeping disorder or something. The last couple of months I've been averaging 3-4 hours of lousy sleep a night. Well this morning after work I couldnt sleep at all so I've been up for 30 some odd hours. I just started getting ready for bed and the phone rings, its my work, the want me to come in and work over time tonight. I considered it, but decided against it... I did agree to work tomorrow, then tuesday-tuesday. It's going to suck but should make for a nice check, which means getting the system done that much sooner... Oh yeah, I work from 5:45pm-6:45am...
Oh well, I'm going to try and get some sleep...

Try 1 shot of Bourbon or Whiskey before you go to bed... Just ONE...
put's your mind in a more relaxed state... much better than the alternative of sleeping medication.

Consider trying one of those relaxation programs. As corny as it may sound, becoming more aware of your body and its tensions is very important.

That's the point of taking the shot... makes you less aware :p , plus one shot wears off fast and just makes you drowsy.

It usually takes me atleast 2-3 hours of laying in bed before I fall asleep.

Well alcohol actually delivers much less quality sleep then sleeping without being under the influence, but i think one shot could work. Also look at your routine habits, anything like coffee or caffeine or any kind of stimulant before you lay down for bed? The most simple things can keep you from a good nights rest. Try eating some ice cream or doing something relaxing before you sleep. Reading makes me really tired, everyone has their own little things about them that can make them tired so I'd reccomend finding that thing for you.

I seem to have that problem sometimes - i can't stand it. it ruins the next day. i've quit drinking energy drinks after 9:30 (unless i want to stay up late) though, that helps (lol)

Being aware of your body's state of RELAXATION is another thing. :) Mind over matter.

I wouldn't recommend the whole bottle... as stated, alcohol actually delivers much less quality sleep then sleeping without being under the influence... But like I said 1 shot wears off quickly and still isn't enough to effect your mind or judgment... Maybe after the shot lay back with a good book or mag to read or a movie that you've watched a million times, just to keep you relaxed.
