brisgreat, and colemany, i have a few questions for you.

Would you feel any diffrent if clinton would have started the war, and not bush?

Or....

How would you feel if the war would have started when clinton was in office?

and......

If our contry was attacked while clinton was in office and he attacked another county because of it, would you hold it against him.

Hell while i'm at it.

Would you look down on clinton if we were attacked, and he didn't do anything about it?

EDIT.......

Ok one more. In your opinion, are any of the iraqis better off since sadam was removed from power? Do you think the news agencies tell the whole story, or do you think that there are good things happening, but the news doesn't want to tell you about them?

Good Points Jeremy... History has shown that there are very few popular war time presidents... It does depend on what happens, but if history has shown us something, the presidents who have been too closed minded have lost the most and the ones who have kept an open mind have the most to gain...

Wilson was one of those ... Unfortunately, beleive it or not, Vietnam goes all the way back to him.... 14 points speech... anyone remember that one.?

LOL, if you could have heard everything going thru my head when I came up with those questions.

Lets just say the question only shows half of what was being asked...

Yes and no. Yes, Saddam was a bad person and its good that he's gone. No, they are not better off because we have replaced Saddam with thousands of nutjobs with nail bombs strapped to their chests. Saddam was crazy and had a horrible regime, but i think the amount of violence that happened on a daily when saddam ran things was way less. And if we pull out, it'll be worse. I do not support the war but i do suppor
t the troops, and while some say that how is it support the troops if we make them stay there? well, they voluntarily joined and knew before hand that they could go to fight anywhere if they were called on. I also support the good people whose lives are probably ruined now as a result of this war. but thats the past. we need to get the job done and get out ASAP- without silly deadlines, benchmarks, and budget cuts set by congress. The military isn't congress's responsibility or job.Congress doesn't really have the right to do that (Set deadlines, cut funding, benchmarks, etc). George Bush is the COMMANDER AND CHEIF OF THE US MILITARY. Congress is not, no damn democrat sitting on a fat check from holywood should be doing anything with the war. approve the budget as needed, dont' thorw in crap about "$X until july." or unrealistic benchmarks.

I think if we finish the job and get the terrorists out, and get the iraqi military to a point where they can hold it down for themselves, i think they will be better off in the long run.

also, all those other places we pulled out of... yeah, i wasn't around back then so i don't know much about it. but if we were to pull out of iraq tommorow theres no doubt that terrorists would take over and there'd be another 9/11 next week, then we'd be back in a few months. (exaggerated but you get the point)

Please do tell me how a war is suppposed to be carried out?? be nice dont kill anyone every body make a big circle with a guitar?? are you shitting me a war is a horrible godless act there isnt a "right" way to conduct war, the idea is to kill the bastard terrorists who killed 10,000 innocent people my dad served for 1.5 years over there he was at ground zero 45 minutes after it happened, maybe you should review the clips of the poor people diving 50 stories to there death. Dont give me nor anyone else the bullshit that the war isnt going right, we are kicking the unholy shit out of those terrorist they ahve killed a couple thousand americans to this point, we have killed a couple MILLLION of them, if thats loosing you watch to much god damn CNN. You want them out of there quicker, you send more over and over whelm the oposition you dont pull a few out here and there and expect significant amounts of success further than you ahve already had. And im with darthness on this one, a democrat in office in 08 would be horrible even if he were a good man/woman, he would not be making the decisions the corrupted money holding democrats would push him around like a puppet.

Ok guys.

I know where these topics go so lets not go there.

We all have our own opinions and are fully entitled to them. Most of us are set in our opinion and will not be swayed. From there, we know it goes down hill.

Lets move on.
