Chevys are ballsy sometimes... but really if i was gonna go with anything I would def go with that TACOMA... Talk about some acceleration... The 6cyl is crazy fast...
And he is right no matter what... All Chevy's have terrible resale value. the only ones that have decent resale is a Corvette or maybe a Camaro, even that isnt a certainty...

American fullsize trucks have better resale than their Toyota equivalent, and it's been that way for years now. The Tundra doesn't have that following and Americans are loyal to their truck manufacturer of choice. That's the main reason Toyota and Nissan are having so much trouble cracking that market to begin with. They can sell cars, but look at the incentives they're offering to move their trucks off a parking lot.
The Tacomas have better resale value than other COMPACT trucks, but the Japanese manufacturers pretty much created that market, as we created the fullsize truck market as well as the heavy duty truck market, so on and so forth. That's where the loyalty lies, and that's a lot of where your resale comes to play.
You have to remember that the majority of the auto market is supported by retirees that watched all this happen. They remember all this, where you may or may not. Kind of like how the Mustang outsold the Camaro by huge amounts even in it's off years, a lot of it is about heritage and innovation. It's also about what people perceive. The main reason Toyota cars have good resale value isn't that their cars are better, it's that so many people remember the 80s when Detroit was asleep in the design rooms. Toyotas have really gotten substantially worse since their glorydays in the 80s trying to prove themselves, mainly because they're thinning themselves out trying to ramp up production. They want that top automaker spot BAD.
exactly so how can you state that these will have bad resale as well. regardless of what toyota is doing GM has come leaps and bounds from the poor vehicles they made a few years ago. take a look at any of the new models all great remarks.CaptainPioneer wrote:So far history has shown that Toyotas have better resale... there is no true way to determine resale value untill it has gained a few years
on another note i cant wait for the new z07 vette. and i seem to remember someone claiming that they squeezed as much power out of the ls6 already but seems the found away to make another 200 horses
I just drove my father's new 07 Cadillac STS V8....damn that car is fast....
I can get an 06 for something around 28K, at the auction...so that might be my next car in a few years.
