I don't think they should arrest him, but ban him or something. Their views of kissing and showing some skin are drastically different from us.
The owner/publisher/whatever of Playboy in India almost got arrested I think. Their version of Playboy is much less revealing than even an FHM magazine.
yea i do understand that their customs there are much different than us, but it was Richard Gere and a "Bollywood" actress who were involved. I dont understand how they can imitate our film industry and yet censor people from truths of human emotions, and views. It almost reminds me of V for Vendetta. lol
Yeah, that was his bad. Their cultures are definetly different than ours. Before anyone goes to anther country they should familiarize themselves with local cultures for this very reason. Some countries are over the top in their beliefs and local culture. BTW, nice avatar I am having a dificult time not watching it.
Bollywood is the mainstream entertainment for the masses over there, so they take that stuff really serious I suppose. The actors/actresses make gobs of money -I'm talking like Tom Cruise cash and fame (in India that is). The movies are also all inexpensive to make, LONG (like 3.5 hours), and very simple being nearly formulaic.
Did I mention I'm getting my BA in film May 18th? lol
You should get very drunk that day. The way I see it, it's one of your last chances to celebrate as a young adult, before you get a real job with a 9 to 5 and become an adult.
And I think it's ridiculous about RIchard Gere. They want to arrest him for kissing someone. I know there's more to it then that, but that's literally what happened. I don't know I might be a little bit stubborn.
