To truly get the best for your dollar, you still need to save more than most are willing to... Most have it burning a hole in their pocket and can't wait to spend it... My advise for anyone that uses method is to buy a peice at a time... you get better equipment from the word go and then have an idea of what you need to save up for next, so you're not as likely to blow it on lesser equipment than what you really want... Just my honest opinion.
+1
I would go this route because you will be much happier down the road. Actually, I did go this route when I purchased my Elevation DX1500.1, then a month or so later, i purchased my Elevation Execution. I was really happy with what i did. Once everyone gets a system, they always want to upgrade. By going with something that is only what you can afford now, you will really want to upgrade soon. So you are going to end up spending more money because you wont sell your stuff for the same price you bought it for.
problem solved, fusion nvsw12 and an ssl 1500 watt monoblock amp, kick ass sub, solid amp, and im giving him a sealed box i have that i built a while back that is put together like a brick shithouse, ......its gonna pound. my favorite high end sub and my favorite middle of the road amplifier.....

I know DVC 4 Ohm is 2 ohm...but that description just isn't clear at all.
The description is perfectly clear and will be to you too once you've been doin this for a while.
If you have 2) single 4 ohm voice coils and wire them in parallel, then it's the same as having 1) 4 ohm Dual voice sub wired parallel = 2 ohm load...
If you had 2) 4 ohm Dual Voice coil subs wired in parallel it would equal a 1ohm load. :)
JL has a pretty good tutorial for ya on wiring up subs.... you can find it here: http://mobile.jlaudio.com/support_pages.php?page_id=145
