Nice. Plastic is even better than wood.

That's why I recommended it in the first place... and he'll be able to take that same box and just move it to the bed of the truck down the road... could put it there now, but make sure and bolt it down :thumbsup

That plastic box is much better than trying to build one out of wood and Rhinoline it. One small gap that the acid can get through and that wood and the carpet beneath will be mush in no time flat.

Since that's not a sealed battery, make sure you've got a way to vent the fumes to the outside of the vehical as well. :happy055:

if you look real close at the pic of the Whole battery box with the top on it, theres two little raised parts that are vents.. i actually didnt get the battery in today, i had alot of trouble.. for some reason, when i was doing the big three.. i had it done, and put the battery cable back on the top post, and the post started to smoke and spark like crazy, so i took it off, and was elimenating problems, i took the battery positive to alternator off and before i took it off mounting bracket to the alt, the fuse i had popped.. so i dont know what was going on, so i said F it and took all the wires off. i started the truck and went around the block to make sure everything was ok, and it was.. i JUST got my new Power Acoustik A3000DB in(the sub sounds So much better, hits much harder and louder, but i need a new box, but im loving it right now) and was bumpin pretty good, and the amp shut off, but my components were still playing.. so i think "rca's" "blew a fuse" "amp fried"... got home, checked it all.. nada... hooked my JBL 600.1 back up.. nada.. so im thinkin "well, it cant be the remote, my component amp is working..", so i took the cd player out, checked all of that.. everything was good.. so i check the power wire fuse.. its good to go.. so i trouble shoot some more.. i figured id run a new power wire real quick, just from the battery and outside the car to the amp.. and voi la.. works.. so i take the old wire out.. and check it over.. cant really find $hit wrong with it.. im thinkin it may be the fuse holderor it was cut some where real small and grounding out somehow.. but who knows(knu konceptz wire/holder)... so after i ran that new power wire, everything worked good.. but for now.. its basically a mess, rigged up.. it was getting late so i quit, and just got it all working and put everything back in and up.. so Sunday, im goin to a friends and we are going to trouble shoot with the big 3 and do my battery i guess.. also do i need to put a fuse in the positive wire from the primary to the second battery? and i plan on grounding the battery to the frame also..

Don't be so quick to dismiss the fuse not being blown... I've seen it plenty of times where visually the fuse is i good shape, but it blows inside one of the ends... so you may want to check fuses with a dmm before counting them out.

you don't vent a battery box unless its vented to outside of the vehicle.
the idea of a battery box is to make the battery safe from gassing.
