Compared to the retail price of $1034.95 for the Autotek ya can't complain about <2% thd...

that retail price is insane but again as you said 2 completely diffrent classes of amplifier. nobody pays that i bet you could get one for close to the price he is looking at from a reputable dealer. and you can complain about the thd because distortion is what kills woofers. when you start getting into high power level's that distortion makes a huge different there is a reason i can put an autotek MM4000.1 with .01%thd at rated power on a EA pro and run it daily at 1 OHM mono and not kill the woofer. now try that with this audiopipe i sure wouldn't.

u guys supporting these garbage amps are the reason that high end manufactures are going out of business everybody wants everything at a great price. just remember you get what you pay for.

Edit another example

I run 4 EA audio Executions in the buick with 2 MM4000.1s the ex are rated at 1500rms. im running 2000rms to them in a WALL thats way over sized and a port you could put 18 midgets in confortably. i guarantee if i swapped for the audiopipes the ex's would go up in smoke.

o ya and the price is gonna equal out when you have to spend 400 bucks to upgrade your electrical system for the audiopipe. toss and extra batt in the back on your stock alt and you will be fine with the autoek. as long as your not slamming bass for hours at a time it will be no problem

You're also looking at different parts of the market. Not everybody needs a high end amp to get what they want, nor can a lot of people afford them. It's not that people aren't SUPPORTING them. They just might not fit their application, specifically budget.
Who wouldn't want the best amp that they can get?

ok for 100 dollars more you can get an amp thats far superior? u wouldnt save up the cash? what im trying to get across is just because it says 3000w and is 100 bucks more doesn't mean its either of the two. look at what you said as well NOT EVERYONE NEEDS A HIGH END AMP. but think about that. your paying 100 dollars less for an amp thats far less than the one thats 100 bucks more? when you actually sit back and look at the stats there not so impressive. sure its 3kw but whats usable on that amp? i can say probably about 1500 watts before it starts getting dirtier than all hell. and you are supporting those cheap companys because your saying o well you dont need that good quality amp when you can get this one for 100 bucks less. thats support.

car audio is dying and the companys that make the high end equipment are paying for it. and thats the reason. well shit i can get 1000 more watts for 100 bucks less. when people really have no idea what's really going on and what your doing is actually telling them its ok. i take it upon myself to show people what really is going on and give them the reasons that i choose not to run that crap. i could have 5 of those amps for the price of one of my ateks. thats 10 amps for 2 amps yet i stick with the ateks.

Agreed, this is No where near the level of performance of the Autoteks... as their MM line up is actually still a really good deal for the quality of equipment.

I would save up the money, but a lot of people wouldn't. They either don't want to spend the money or want the product NOW instead of waiting to save up.

I agree with your edit, I was just trying to make a point that for a lot of people the biggest concern is money.
