Subs not hitting in sync.

Whaooo! I just went back and double checked your post on your amp... Memphis 1000D does 1100w RMS @ 1 ohm (Not max), so you probably have your gain set to high... Read the How to set your gains with a dmm (digital multi-meter) in the FAQ threads... and if you don't have a dmm get one (you can get a cheap one for around $10 bucks).

So the amp is pushing more than 1100watts? What about the subsonic filter.........it goes from 20hz to 50hz the box is tuned to 40.....I read to set the ss filter to 10hz below the box tuning....

No... it's pushing exactly 1100watts RMS (continuous power) @ 1 ohm...
So if you have your subs wired at 1 ohm and you tuned your gain in with a guess (which it sounds like you did)... then this explains why you're getting that burnt coil smell (You ARE burning them up).
NEVER account for "MAX Wattage" ratings, as they don't mean a thing (best ignored), and go buy a dmm and use the "How To" as I pointed out earlier.

By the way, if you feel it necessary to use bass boost (which I don't recommend)... set the Bass boost where you want first, then set your gains... otherwise if you set your gains and then turn up the Bass Boost, you'll be clipping.... Clipping = Burn't voice coils and making perfectly good CVRs into paper weights :)

try 32 or 34Hz for a tuning frequency
you want to stay above the Fs of the subs

Ok I can't find a decent box...I want something tuned to 33hz. The specs for the sub are listed below if someone can help me. Would 30hz be tuned too low? 40hz just isn't right for me....I want a little lower bass.
