MA Audio Amp...

Post by CaptainPioneer »

Now i know the quality of MA Audio has come into question lately, and i know many dont like the quality of their product but for less than $120 for 800w its hard to argue...

http://cgi.ebay.com/MA-AUDIO-M1889I-MON ... dZViewItem

my question really is what are the pitfalls with this amp or the companies build qualities...

If you're paying 95$ for an amp, you know what you're getting. Use that for a temp until you can save up enough for something better.

I've been dealing with MA for some time now and it's not that they're bad amps, just that they really seem to be power hungry... although I don't know about that 2 year warranty either unless they are offering it themselves.

yea i would assume that i would have to pay extra for that warranty. But when u say Power Hungry, im assuming they you mean they draw alot... and yes i do find it odd that they are fused at 25ax2 i would have guessed at least 30ax2. Cargodz, do they put out what they say though, or are they underrated?

They put out 400wrms @ 4ohm, but NOT 800wrms @ 2 ohm... closer to 600wrms.
Actually MA themselves rates it at 800 watts MAX @ 2 ohm

I don't even think it would be quite that as they rate it at 800w Max.
