So after saving up my money for a few months ive been able to get a hold of 800$ every cent of it is going into my sound system. I plan to spend around 2000 dollars total which I will easiely make with my summer job. I had planned to get Four 12 inch woofers, Two six by nines on the rear deck, and Four 6.5 car speakers one on each door. Along with a crossover, deck, capacitators, fans ect.... To power the four 12's I was planning on buying Two Hifonics BXi 1606D mono amps, to power the four 6.5 a Hifonics TX8805 multi channel amp. Although they are good they can be pricey so Ive been looking into Boss amps. Also I've been giving Audiobahn alot of thought because of the prices but all the negativity on this site makes me not want to get them. Although recently a guy I know was selling two 12 inch audiobahn woofers for 250 the pair. A total of 500 dollars. Heres some pics.....

He has about twelve of them left....

I beleive they are AWT12X's he says that they are ratted 1000 rms, with a 2000 watt peak. Although I'm not sure. I've her so much contreversy on Audiobahn that im not sure if I should get them, although its a great price. What do you guys think? Also I've been thinking about getting two Boss amplifiers for the four, a Boss Audio CH3000D seems about right. Its rated 1200-1700 watts rms with a max of 3000 watts. Max power, 2ohm: 2200W x 1, Max power, 1ohm: 3000W x 1, RMS power, 4ohm: 1200W x 1, RMS power, 2ohm: 1700W x 1 are some of the specs. Around 250$... Heres a pic....

What do you think? How does it sound? Should I invest in somthing different? Box Suggesttions? This is going to be my first sound system so all imput, and suggestions are greatly appreciatted.....

well if i were you, you deff have enough money to get something great and money isnt an issue with you, so the best way to put it is "you get what you pay for" so audiobahn, is all on you

My opinion, ditch the boss and audiobahn. The hifonics amps would be fine though if thats what you wanted. There were some issues with overheating, but not sure which amp that was...bill? Anyways I would look into 2 good subs, then we could give you some input on a kick ass enclosure. Also, forget the 6x9's on the rear deck, 6x9's suck IMO. Oh I am sure there are some good ones out there, but the reliability and sq of 6x9's are not up to par with round speakers. Get you a kick ass comp set for the front, then just put some coax in the back door if you want rear fill. If you are going spl, the people in the back seat won't hear much other than BUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUURP anyways so...............just IMO

Hahaha so pretty much Audiobahn is crap along with boss, but what is it that makes audiobahn such a horrid brand? Two good subs hmmm, any suggestions on some over all good ones? Cant fans be used to prevent over heating of amps? As for the comps what would turn out if they were put in the back aswell?

Its crap bro, however, you can get loud with pretty much anything. It will just sound like hammered dog shit, and not last near as long as a quality sub. If your just wanting to get loud there are a TON of brands that would work for that application that make decent equipment. Elevation Audio, Brahma, Image Dynamics, mMats, Atomic......just off the top of my head. There are so many brands that will be great in an spl application, when done right. I have some personal, :p , experience with the elevation audio execution in an spl application WOW ;) However, I am an sq guy, so you might want some of these spl weirdos to help you out
