Ok pictures tomorrow sorry had a computer crash. So ive decided inverse mounting is the way to go on this install. 5 or 6 three inch ports. YES THREES i already have the material im sorry lol. Ok now the new question is if i inverse the sub and put the ports on the side wall of the box about an inch to 1.5 inches below the cone 11 inch ports, would they perform ok? or would the sub really get messed up having the ports that close. I know close is good but is there such thing as to close?/???

The port openings aren't supposed to be close to your cones if at all possible...

i think they are supposed to be double the diameter away, 3 inch port equals 6 inches away

ok so if i angle the port opening down away from the cone i wont have a problem! i started to cut some of my boards tongiht. And im taking a long time doing it i have a week from saturday to get all the boards cut and constructed before it goes to be carpeted, so it gives me time to decide how many ports im gonna do. so what do you guys think 5 3 inch ports or 6 of um?

Are you going to have elbows on just one or two of the ports? I'm not sure actually how important it would be to have ports of similar geometry, but if it was my box OCD would send me to DEFCON 1 if they all weren't identical, hehe.

In the past when figuring out how many ports to use I've utilized WinISD to predict a mach number(s) to avoid port chuffing.
