filling your car with cement?

Post by whiteboy »

ok so my dad asked me ifi plan on filling the cab of my truck up with cement

i thought he was trying to make a stupid joke of something

but then he explained he was watching discovery channel or whatever when they were talking about competition stereos, and they used a minivan and pulled all the inside pannels and filled the walls of the van with cement.

i still think hes messin with me, but has anyone ever heard of this or done this???

nope. it pretty much completely eliminates any flexing. which is a good thing for SPL.
horrible for MPG.

Yea, not to mention you'll prob have to beef up the suspension hardcore for all that extra weight :)

And a mobile bomb shelter ;)

I wouldnt even dream about doing something like this unless your a pro. It has no benefit unless you are doing something big, very big...

personally I'd use a foam insulator instead of cement.
while cement does add mass, it adds a LOT fo weight to deal with on the suspension.

Yeah... ever try and scream through a brick wall? Can anybody outside hear you? Nope. Well same idea, but yeah definately only something to be done if you're going hard core into spl and should be done with a throw away car that you're not planning on driving anywhere... They have to be towed to comps and only driven into the lanes.
