so i just received my eclipse EA3422 4/3/2 channel amp.. here are some pics.. what do you guys think for $111 shipped?

actually, i put the wrong price... i got it for $87 shipped!!

i also won a diamond audio component set(CM3- $111 shipped) for the front sound stage

a pair of eclipse coaxials($50 shipped) for the rear

i plan on getting a sub, run this amp in 3 ch mode which produces 140WRMS x1 @4ohm. i was hoping i could have put an RE on here but different wiring config. :-(

dveeg, have you used this amp in 3 ch mode? if so, do u think its possible to run it down to 2ohm? i highly doubt it, but just wondering.. just found out from visionaryaudio.com that i CANT get an RE in dual 2ohm config :-(.

any other suggestions for a "bang for the buck" sub that produces clean output at 150W?

I highly doubt that that amp can run bridged at 2 ohms. A sub to look into would be an Adire Audio Shiva. Its a dual 8 ohm woofer. Great sub.

that component set is rated at 120watts RMS. you may want to consider bridging that amp to two channels to run the comps and add another amp for your sub. just a thought. i know you can lose some SQ when bridging an amp, but it might be better than giving them too little power.

the reason why i wanted to run a sub off of this amp is so i wont go overboard and kill my electrical.. my car is 12 yrs old with only a 70 or 80A alt. i bet this amp alone will be a lot for it.

the shiva seems good.. i saw what it did with only 60WRMS.. damn.. i dont suppose anyone is selling one, eh? :-P
