$300 new amp that can run 2 12"TC sounds 1000's
I know I dont have much budget to play with, but was wondering what could you guys suggest to drive these 2 subs that I am thinking about buying.
Here are the specs for the subs.
60 Newtons2/watt Motor Force
• 400 Watts Sustained Power
• 2" Anodized Aluminum Voice Coil
• 24mm XMax
• Single Dish Aluminum Cone
• High Excursion 1" NBR Surround
• 135 Ounce Magnet Structure
• Copper Shorting Ring
• Cast Aluminum Frame
• 8.0" Diameter Suspension System
The reason why I am going with these subs is because they are cheap ($100 a piece). Im open to suggestions for subs as well.
My total budget for the amp and subs is $500.
thanks in advance

will this puch these fine? it says that they are 1500max power and -600 RMS-
will it make 2 of these 12 inch subs sound really good?

Those are pretty ok amps. You could get a little more wattage for those tc sounds subs, but that would be fine. And FYI, dont even look at max ratings, they mean nothing. Only look at rms ratings. For amps, the rms means the amount of watts the amp will put out full tilt with no distortion. For subs, rms means the amount of watts it can be fed continuously and not burn up.

x2. Even more especially at sub bass frequencies. As long as you're not trying to push way more power than your amp is capable, you'll be fine.JeremyC wrote:I have on thing to add on to what Mike said.
Amps don't make the speaker sound good. All they do is supply the power to move the speaker. What really makes a speaker sound good is the enclosure, and then the speaker design.
