Won't make a difference unless they're configured incorrectly. Sub-bass is omnidirectional to our ears and past that the frequency spectrum doesn't really hold any imaging cues.

I have heard that many times but i notice a difference with the type of music i mainly listen to its fine for rap death metal or sublime stuff like that but i listen to alot of music like shpongle. it has bass lines that go from the left to right channels and i notice a big difference when i have stereo subs. ive spent alot of time in the 2 years ive owned this van listening to music. its a home away from home fridge tv dvd dreamcast mini computer with wireless.

If that's the case then you need to reevaluate your crossover points, slopes, as well as your midbass drivers and their configuration.
