remote control

Post by larry117 »

I bought a refurbished DEX-P9 off of ebay a while back and just today hooked it up. Everything seems to work fine except the remote, checked the batteries already. This is a serious problem because most of the adjustments on this HU are made with the remote. Any help is greatly appreciated Ive already checked Pioneers website.

im assuming since it came from ebay theres no warranty so it would seem you need to buy a new remote from an authorized dealer..........

Yeah, I made the purchase against my better judgment. Pioneer does sell replacement remotes for $60. Is there any chance its the HU not the actual remote?

im not sure about that Pioneer HU(or the dvd players), but ALL the remotes with the Pioneers work with each other, my friend has an old Premier 930, and the remote looks nothing like they do now, and it works with mine(newer Premier 670)

It's most likely the remote, I used to have a infrared reader thing, that would tell you if a remote was transmitting. You would point the remote at it, and it would light up the card when the infrared beam hit it.

It was pretty neat for testing that sort stuff. I wonder where that ever went?
