http://www.the12volt.com/caraudio/woofe ... ations.asp this will give you a diagram of how to wire your subs in different ohm loads. Choosing a mono channel amp will be far superior to a 2 channel amp, because of (most) being a class D circitry, which draws much less power = greater efficientcy. A hifonics brutis is a good amp for the price, and would be ideal for running those subs. Other amps may include autotek, elevation audio, etc (refer to good, bad, ugly list in FAQ)

g-man wrote:oh ok....so wiring them in parallel will share the amps power..and the resistance will stay at 4ohms?
If you wire them in series it will be at 8ohms (since they are single voice coil), but if you wire them in parallel you will bring it down to 2ohms... so you can do a 2ohm stable monoblock or a 2channel amp.
But your subs are rated at 200-350wrms each so to give each 500wrms (rms= real world power) might be asking for trouble... what you need is an amp that will do 500-600wrms total at either 4ohm or 2ohm.

I would suggest an amp along the lines of Kicker kx600.1 or whatever the new lines are, or a jbl gto601.1. Both are easy to find, very reliable, and good quality amps that will deliver enough power for the assasins. I would also look into Hifonics amps or Fusion. I know there is a Hifonics Bxi606 that will deliver the power. I dont know about what model for the Fusion stuff, but there are two dealers on here for them that really like the Fusion stuff, so i would take a look at them.

The assassins are only single 4ohm, so you can only ran that amp at 8ohm bridged. Which is also the same thing as 1 sub on its own channel at 4ohm. So he wont be getting the 640 watts.

Normally it would be better, but with the price range you're looking at and at 2-4ohms you should be looking at 2ch. as well.

So.....hifonics mono amps will work....and those fuson ones....
What about phoenix gold? and lanzar....? i have 2 magazines about in-car sound systems where they test amps....the hifonics ax 4000D gives out 690 watts at 4ohms....aaand the Lanzar gives out 699 watts at 4 ohms..!
