So wednesday night my cousin and I were driving around bored when the idea of a road trip popped into our heads. We didnt really have anything planned but took off towards chicago.

As soon as we hit the highway it started snowing, and hard! We didnt let that stop us though. We drove for a couple hours and stopped at litchfield, il and stayed at some crappy hotel.

Thursday morning we went to chicago to check out the sears tower. We were in my cousin full size ext truck so we couldnt find a parking spot so we couldnt go up, but it was still cool to look at.

From there we took off for Pleasant Prairie, Wisconsin to see lake michigan. We were surpose to go through indiana to michican but we were running short on time so decided to start heading home.

We stopped in joilet, il thursday night and stayed in a motel with a indoor swimming pool and hot tub, nice! Then today on the way home, we stopped in st.louis and went up in the arch... Although I have drove pasted it 100's of times I nice went up in it....

It was pretty cool, but think going up to the deck on the sears tower would of been cooler, but whatever, next time...

I have 3 day weekend every other week. Plus, I can take 2 vacation days and be off a total of 7 days, so it makes it easy to find the time. Atleast once a month I'm going on vacation, although most will have to be 3 day ones.

I'll post up the pictures later. It was a ton of fun, and only costed a couple hundred bucks... His truck only gets 12mpg so next time we plan to take his dakota which doubles that, should be a little easier on the wallet...

Sounds like you had a good time inspite of the weather. Wish I could just jump in my car and take that kind of roadtrip. I'm green with envy. :happy055:

Haha, we are going to Virgina here in late feb or early march, if you still dont have the engine I could pick on up here locally for 100-150 bucks and bring it up to you for another 50 or so...

Also, I will post pictures in a few hours when I'm a bit more awake!
