Best Amp

Post by dsc504 »

i am looking for an amp that will be suitable for what i am doing to my car. heres a little info...i have two polk/momo 10" subs. they are going into a custom enclosure in my trunk. i am looking for a good reliable amp that can power both subs without any strain on the system. the system in the car is stock for now. not sure on which headunit i am going with but it will probably be a 7" flip out screen. all the speakers in the car will be polks due to the fact that i got all of them for dirt cheap. :help:

i dont really give a dam about the max wattage either...yea they are 4 ohm. and yes i do know what rms is. the box actually said that the rms was 50-300 watts. i have put together systems before with just some basic stuff but what i am trying to do now is build a nice clean looking system.

any suggestions? the last car i had was a 94 ford probe and i had a 10" kenwood sub. powered by a mtx amp that was rated at 250watts. it sounded good at the time to me but this car is going to be different.

fusion enam8001 would be the right power and cost less, of course its not as nice as the autotek but it could be had for like 199 and its still a decent amp

I'll second smoker on the Fusion for cost and reliablity... the Autoteks are nice but at a heftier price.
