Yup!

I'm at UNO, but I've been to Tulane several times. I spent the night once on the top floor of the dorms that are right off of Feret st. A shared bathroom really sucks...

Monroe Hall! I couldn't think of the name of it lol. Yea, it's bare brick on the inside and pretty crappy.

I bought my two EQT's and my Orion patametric/preamp 300PSW on ebay
no problems at all.

I forgot about that kicker in dash unit. it's a nice one.
very similar to one RF used to make some time back.

a 24dB/octave XO is good for imaging off-axis. in cars, its a good steep slope.
for audiophiles a shallow slope is preferred, but 6dB is a real bitch on speaker positioning, and it's not nearly as good at power handling for the speakers.. they roll off so shallowly that at high volumes you can have issues.

I run 6dB slopes but I'm after moderate volume and good SQ. most people want decent SQ, and lots of SPL, so 24dB is a far better choice.
12dB is a natural slope for speakers in a car. 18dB is a bit steeper. 24dB is very steep.

thanks kiki. glad to hear that kicker x-over is a good unit. an 18db slope sounds like it would work great with my setup. my amp currently has 18db slopes and i like the way it sounds. would i notice abig improvement in SQ if i were to add that unit, assuming it was properly setup? i imagine the 5V linedriver would reduce unwanted noise, and the crossovers in that unit are probably better than those in my amp, right?

william, yeah monroe's a sh1t hall! never had to live there, but i've spent the night there a few times too ;)
