Which kind is better/easier to install? The box kind (like the ebay one I posted) or the PAC kind (That looks like a oil filter)?
I have a 1997 Dodge Avenger.

soo thats a battery isolator. looks easier than i thought. well now i can buy another yeller top. (hopefully i won't need it)

there easy but i don't run isolated. but i need all the batteries i can to power the system lol.

ive installed them but i would prefer in my own car not to use one......if you need multiple batteries you probably need to leave the car running anyway

So what does a battery isolator actually do? And why would you need one?

it allow you to have one battery to run the accessories while being disconnected from the battery you use to start the car

Does that mean you can only use one battery at a time? Or will I be able to listen to my system while Im driving?
