96 grand-am,door speaker help needed

what modifications do i need to do to install infinity 5-1/4 componet speakers in my car.how deep do the spacers need to be so the window will not hit the speakers?thanks......

If the grand am's are anything like the 1st gen grand prix's, you should be able to use the 4x6 bracket with hardly any problems. If not, unbolt the 4x6 bracket from the door(after taking off the speaker), measure the size of the brackets, and fab some up real quick.
