But to get back on track, it's unfortunate that people have to happen to let this stuff happen at the mall, where parents with young kids will unappreciably have to deal with this. If someone says something to them, it'll rise tensions and things will get worse. It's also unfortunate that curfews may be enforced, not allowing those who AREN'T causing problems for other people into the mall to enjoy it.

Theres a curfew in Toledo anyhow, I think its 10 or 11 pm for anyone under 18.

That doesnt mean your at a mall, so you can be out until whenever without your parents. So technicaly speaking, the Police are letting this slide.

No parent, GTFO its past curfew

Thats what needs to happen...

I hate to agree with Ryan, but ya the cops are just falling to the wayside on this one... The curfew for minors is set at 11PM weeknights and 12Midnight on weekends (with some exceptions).
The biggest problem here is the parents that just don't care...
That and the fact that if the police do actually round them all up and hall them in... All the kids have to do is get a parent, legal guardian, or parent permitting adult to pick them up... and they're out the next night doing it again... sad that our society has been taken over by a bunch of kids that didn't get a spanking, because the parents didn't care or even worse were afraid social services was going to be called.

i don't think is that the parents don't care.. its that they cant control them.

i mean really, are you going to spank a 17 year old? i doubt it. if my dad tried to spank me.. or specially, anyone, one of us would be in the hospital and the other in jail... simple enough. I mean spanking is okay (to me) in extreme moderation up to like.. 9/10... after that you're just touching your son or daughter's ass.

i think the problem people have with spanking is when parents beat the shit out of their kids and call it discipline. thats not discipline, thats violence.

Darthness, if you have a problem with my post, then i guess you do.. also, all the stuff i listed, or more less ALL in one.. wearing white shoes but dressing "appropriately" is different than what i stated. BUT.. if you do dress like the kid in the pic, then i have no respect for you. and why? because you are black, if you are.. then that is Totally different.. white people who Act black and dress black because they either think they are or want to be, need to be put in a cell with all blacks.. and then see how "black" they are.. they will be Black and Blue.. and you will know what i mean if you have been in jail/prison for a bit..

Keep in mind I have seen many trends come and go and it has nothing to do with how you dress... It's how you act that's important.

And Keith... I was reffering to the kids when they start acting up at younger ages...
As for full grown kids, spanking isn't an issue...
I believe that when you get to the age where you may want to take on your parents authority.... Fine, do it on your own, under your own roof, under your own bills, buy your own food, etc.
My daughters thought they could challenge my authority when they were in their mid to late teens... so I took the one thing away from them that I had the power over... the power itself (electricity)... They could keep all their stuff like TV, games, stereo, lamps, etc. but I pay the electric bill and they wanna watch tv... they could watch a black screen in the dark... I put a lock on the breaker box.
Now I know alot of you are thinking... what about homework, how can they do it in the dark? Answer: You can sit at the dinning room table in the kitchen to do your homework...
By the way this also meant they couldn't use the phone either... predated every kid on the planet having a cell phone... And I pay the house phone bill too.
You'd be really suprised at how kids come around when you show them the power you have and what it means to really be an adult.

it is a parenting problem in my opinion because if the kids were brought up the correct way this wouldn't be an issues. hell im 20 years old and i hear from so many people i act as if im 30. i was a trouble maker kid and i got my ass beat or got the shit grounded out of me every damn time i did something stupid. and u know what i thank my parents for it. look where im at im a 20 year old engineer with 2 of my own business's im self sufficient and i go to college?

hell joe at elevation audio thought i was almost 40 years old haha. boy was he surprised! parents just don't want to deal with there kids anymore no one wants to follow through on there discipline as well. i've seen my aunts bitch at there kids for 20 mins put them in the corner and 2 mins later the kids out of the corner Fucking around and she doesn't say a word? well wtf good does it do to discipline them in the first place then?

I have a 17yo son, whom up till last spring, has been spanked for getting into trouble. It is a damn humiliating thing to be spanked when you are 16...but it will put you in your place. And Michael, I love that idea...just turn off the electricity in his bedroom...very sly indeed. Show him what it is like to be without and see if he is better with his money or whatever. Way to go Dad!

I have tolerated empty punishments for too long...and my son undestands that.

he goes to the mall to hang out...but it must be different here than there. I haven't heard of any big fights at the mall in over 20 years.
