I'm saying LSU's coaching staff is extremely good, good enough to outsmart Notre Dame's coaching staff.

coach Miles is a freaking dolt! That boy couldn't coach his way to victory with a pee-wee team. He couldn't get Oklahoma State to win, so whatever made LSU think he could be good for them...sheesh. Les Miles is an overpaid dimwit. Yes his staff is probably very good, if they are left over from the National Champ contender staff, but if he brought some of his team...they might do well right now, but soon, all will turn to shit.

Miles did good at Oklahoma State for what they are. Look at Oklahoma State's record 3 years before Miles arrived: 5-6, 5-6, and 3-8. Then Miles took over and went 4-7 his first year, but then went 8-5, 9-4, and 7-5. It isn't like he had the best recruiting or coordinators, it's Oklahoma State for christ's sake. Now, he has that benefit of having coaches and players that are actually worth a crap. It isn't like Mike Gundy is doing anything impressive, 4-7 and 7-6 in his two years. The problem is the program and it's prestige. If you were about to be recruited, wouldn't you rather go to a sure thing like Oklahoma or Texas, or settle for mediocrity? It takes good coaches a long time to turn a program like that around, and Miles wasn't even there long enough to make much of an impact. Dimwits can't have back to back 11 win seasons.

Now, is Miles as good as Nick Saban? No. But name off the current college football coaches that are as good as Nick Saban. You won't find many. I'm sure Alabama will get quite a boost from him being there, both from his skill and the fact that there are a lot of great coaches that would want to work alongside him. As if the SEC wasn't tough enough already, sheesh. One more up and coming powerhouse to tack onto the conference schedule.

This is Pelini's second year at LSU, prior to being defensive coordinator at LSU he was the co-defensive coordinator and secondary coach at Oklahoma. He came on board with Miles. That may strike a bell with you, you've probably heard the name before and just couldn't pinpoint it. He also was a def. coordinator and interim head coach at Nebraska prior to coaching at Oklahoma, and coached on numerous NFL teams before that.

Fisher has been at LSU for 7 years now. He was off. coordinator at Cincinnati and Auburn in the past.

Oh, one fact for you guys before tomorrow: Ohio State's record against SEC teams in bowl games? 0-7. You read it right, they've never beaten an SEC team in a bowl game.

Yea but as my favorite team found out, it is very damn hard to beat an unbeaten team. They have some kinda stigma about them. I hope Miles does well. But living here in Oklahoma, you get to hear about things that Miles has done that the news didn't pick up on..and that is where I draw my conclusions from.

A lot of times it's easier to beat the team favored to win. Especially with the heisman winner on it. Many tend to get cocky and underestimate their opponents.

I like Oklahoma, though. They just can't seem to get their bowl games together recently, esp. the national championship games they've gone to.

UGA is and always will be my #1 team, why not cheer for the home team when they're good to ya, right? When I was a young teenager it was bolstered because in 1980 I met a lot of the players at a bbq at the home of some of my parents friends. They used to hang around there a lot. Pretty cool to meet them and later on watch them win the championship.

A guy I work with is Garrison Hearst's 1st cousin, he invited me over to meet him one day. That was awesome, too.

Well another Upset for the Bowl games... Fiesta bowl results in a 41 -14 loss for the Buckeyes...

Man ill tell you it was definitely Florida's year.... Troy Smith... did not play like a Theisman Trophy winner unfortunately... His O-line sucked too...

Florida just really out did them in every category, and of course i think that their kicker was pretty damn good as well...

Any thoughts?

I was especially happy to see their kicker finally hit a couple of FG's. 40 and 42 yards as well, pretty impressive. Helluva game, looked just like the OU-Boise game in terms of offense from Florida, but defensively, that was an embarassing outting for Ohio State. How about Tebow, he looks solid. He is gonna be a helluva threat for Florida.
