Before swim practice today, i checked out all his wiring. Everything looks good, connections are all good, fuses are fine. One thing that i have never seen before was that there wasnt an actual REM wire coming out of the HU. And the amp has also been used for a while, so we need to make sure the amp even works!!

well, the rca's are most likely okay, because i wasnt thinking and hooked up the dmm to the wrong connetions on the rca's. I think that either the remote wire isnt working, because i wasnt getting power to it with a difinitive ground, (gettin power from power connections). Or, there is a different remote wire because the only remote wire i could see was a blue one which was labeled "antenna constant". Im sure once we get power going to the remote turn on wire, the amp should fire right up

Put a jumper test wire on it.
just a lil piece of wire from the power to the remote and see if it turns on to make 100% that it's the remote.

chances are... it's not the amp... hardly ever is. It's usually a wiring problem.
