I'm not sure what exactly you're talking about here. RCAs don't run through the wiring harness and I've never seen stock RCAs :)slick94prix wrote:I most likely won't use that harness, and will be running all my own leads. The stock wiring is like 18 guage, I'll use 12-14 guage for a bit more power flow to the deck for *hopefully* higher voltage out of the RCA's.
BTW, the 2000+ Bonne's have 3 grounds and 2 constants. No need for that when I just run my own lines.
Michael, do you have a website of all the products that you carry? I'd really love to see everything that you have!

ur right it cant. ur thinking as if ur always gonna get 4 volts and thats horribly incorrect. and you have a huge range there. from .05v to 4v think of it like this
Say you get 1v normally and that is with factory wiring and you loose some voltage because of the wire and connection point resistance so you started with 14.2v and you dropped to 13.7 and that gives you one volt. Ok kewl well you upgrade your wiring to 10ga and now you start with 14.2 and you don’t have any drop because your wire has no resistance so your voltage stays at 14.2 so you gain .5v’s of power. That .5 then transfers to the amount of power your pre amp can produce. Changing your RCA pre out voltage to 1.5v or whatever. Just for example

NO NO I know i know, If you are rated at 5v max but u are only getting 2.5 cause u are runnning stock wiring harness that are 16guage then yea u can improve by going to 10guage for no restriction bumping u up to the 5v that u are maxed at...
There is always room to improve unless Stock wiring is setup as not restricting... I mean i have my power and Ground wires upgraded on my truck to 12g and there is a huge difference between that and the stock...
