Post by Darthness »

Shotguns & rifles atleast. i want to buy one. i'm liking the mossberg 50579 with the pistol grip. i see that in my near future. any thoughts? i'll probably just take it to the shoot range...not much of the huntin type... although there are plenty of rabbits and cats and little kids in my neighborhood

any thoughts? am i giong to be wasting money? I'd like to start a little collection.

i wouldnt buy one with a pistol grip especially for an untrained person. just get a regular shotgun and eventually mod it. mossburg isnt the best name in shot guns but the 500 is damn near unbeatable at the price. plus its really hard to shoot clays or targets with a pistol grip shotgun all there really good for is home defence.

Just remember decent guns are expensive, I'm with you on the collection thing :) .

Just make sure your first gun is a decent, reliable one and that the ammo is cheap. I dont know much about shot guns, but I too would like one in the future.

I'm with Bill on the no pistol grip one. I'm sure you'd want to saw it off and all too, sure look hella cool. The recoil would be pretty mad though, and you probably dont' want that for a first gun.

... anyone want to change the name to "Car Audio and Gun Central"? lol

My cousin had a Mossberg 500, it was a steal for the price, but like said above not the best. I'm more into handguns....more like hand cannons acutally. I have two guns I left in the US since they couldn't be brought to Germany. They are a Desert Eagle .50 all gold and a Taurus PT100 which is a .40 S&W. I had to return the Taurus at first to the manufacturer since it wouldn't shoot straight...lol. Buy quality first!! The Desert Eagle was perfect from day one, but for $1500 it better be!!
