Yeah the guy at CC set it up for me. I would have done it myself, but I just got into car audio about a month and a half ago and I dont really know too much about setting up amps yet

cargodz wrote:On my H/U i leave the speakers set at -3 for bass and leave it up to the sub... just my opinion... and since you don't have the front stage amped put your fade a lil more to the front (just a couple noches).
I'm assuming you had installed at CC too and not just bought it there... if that's the case then they should have the gain set right.
My previous HU bass controls would control anything connected to it. What I ended up doing was only using front speakers (you should anyway ;) ) and putting my sub on the rear. Then I'd use the fade to balance out the sub and front stage.

on the topic of HU's, I was thinking of picking up a new one soon once I save up a little more money. Are there any good ones I can get for lets say $100-$120?

What HU are you running right now? Do you want to get a new one for specific features or just to get a new one? If the latter, just stick with the one you've got until it dies. There are other areas that would give you more for your money.

alright I just went outside and touched up some settings on my amp. I turned bast boost to 0db, turned up LPF a notch, but couldnt turn HPF off completely. The Lowest it goes is 50hz, is that alright? Also, my gain is set two notches away from max
