Internet companies (car audio)

Post by MobileAudio219 »

Adire, Re, AA, eD, ect. It seems as though every internet company turns out to have horrible customer service. One week they'll be the greatest company ever, the next the worst. I think the only company to hit mega internet status that hasnt failed yet is incriminator audio.

Seriously is there any internet car audio companys that have actually kept growing without a ton of customer service issues?

A thing I thought was great was that Polk Audio on their website has a forum that you can either praise or bash a product of theirs. If you however bash a product they try and explain what they may think is wrong or if the product just sucks they tell you to contact them so that they can do a phone conversation and possible exchange FREE. I think thats amazing now how long it takes to contact them and all that I do not know.

well.. th eproblem with these internet companies is that their small.. you don't have that problem with sony, because well, thats sony.

i think before RE was sold to they had a very small staff.. so its kind of hard for them to do everything 100% right when you're working on a budget.

Problem with larger companies though is that they give you a major run around and half the time don't even know what you're talking about... Their phone reps are just payed to answer the phone and give generalized answers from a list of possible problems on a list of trouble shooting tips in front of them.

I wouldn't say Incriminator has hit "mega" status - and I am confident in stating that is one reason why they may have admirable customer service:

This is very true...

Most of these companies are started by "audio guys", who most likely had a great idea on how to make a subwoofer better than the mass-produced stuff in one way or another.

Most of them were not started by guys who instead had an idea on how to make customer service better, or even if they were, they would never see sales volumes high enough to benefit from their ideas to begin with, because their product wouldn't be as good as the guys with the audio ideas.
...or, more likely, they would open up a retail operation rather than a manufacturing operation, right? ]everything[/i] - that would require an education in everything, or else someone with the management wherewithall to recognize that they need to hire specialists who can individually excel in their specialized areas - something that isn't practical (or necessary) when you start a small business, and is sometimes difficult to identify the opportune time to transition into that mode of operations without being forced into it because you had a problem first. :sad017:

But, in the true spirit of "fool me once, shame on you... fool me twice, shame on me", if a company faces a problem, and then doesn't make the right moves to make sure that problem never happens again - that is inexcusable in my mind.

There ARE too many of these companies around today who would prefer to operate with just one or two people and pocket the profits, rather than hire the help that they really need to offer sufficient customer service and support. Is that really doing a service to you, or to them? :help:

speaking of customer service... its really fun messing with customer service :D but only because they read out of a book and dont talk to you like a normal person... which is what you need help with...
CAC should start its own hotline of proffessional audio help! 1$ per minute
good idea :p
