Ok...my take on this

I read Michael's and Smoker's arguments. I have heard your replies, but you always revert back to " I am disabled ". I am sorry for your disability. But you have to understand where they are coming from. They only have so far to move on brands before they start losing money. They are what we in the industry call "brick and morter" stores, in that, they operate out of their own storefront or garage. They aren't large internet stores that buy in bulk thus lowering their prices to only a few dollars over cost. These such stores are not worried about getting retail, but selling in bulk too. For the price, they are excellent buys, but from a warranty standpoint, most if not all cannot offer one from the factory. It is more of a 30/30 warranty....30min or 30miles, which ever comes first.

I can understand wanting the best for less, but you have to understand where they are coming from also. You say you are disabled, if I were you, I would worry more about paying my bills off in time rather than how your system is sounding. I have over 5 grand worth of equipment in my garage, but none is in my car right now, so actually, your roadmaster/sony system sounds better than my no-system. I think we get the "disabled" thing, now you need to get the idea of "profit". I have been a member of this board for quite some time here and have made good friends over time too. But none of these guys would I expect to "hand over" an amp at or below cost just cause I speak with them on a daily basis. If they every do, it is by their own integrity, not by my asking for a handout.

Basically what I am trying to do is bridge the gap that you and the assorted retailers on this board have created with some sound advice (pun not intended..but funny). Here goes. Save up, take your time, pay the price they quote you...cause no amount of searching will make them come down off their price. Cause if you keep trying to get them to sell you equipment where they lose money....they too become disabled.

Well fyi, i did happen to get everything for under $120... I got a 2 chanel amp ($49.99), and i got a set of scosche 5.25" speakers ($49.99 also). plus $20 shipping... so there u have it, $120 and i got everything i needed.

but my current audio system sounds like total shit, i have roadmaster speakers in the rear, which sounds like a total disasster... and i have sony xplod 4x6" in the front, and those sound like shit also.... I am ONLY trying to get my system so sound decent, hopefully to the point where it sounds as good a stock system in a Honda Accord.

Well Booger truthfully if you want something decent that sounds good you have to spend the old moula......Deep a little deeper for some extra cash...Save for a bit longer.....Do something besides by more junk equip....
You can get something that sounds very decent for 2-3 hundred......I just watched a set of focal 5.25 comps go for $35 on ebay....3 days ago....Thats a damn good price for some gauranteed not to be DOA focals...Then you could have bought a damn decent amp to power them and been one hell of a happy man....Watch what you buy and see what you hear.....Good luck with your journey...Sincerly with respect........The guy that just completley understands :happy055:

dr.bogger, i never said we couldnt be friends. im just saying if you have a certain amount of money and want to purchase non specific equipment your best bet is to start a thread and look at used. what i mean by non specific is you dont have a specific brand or model number your looking for.......and just to add myself to the list of who has a shitty stereo, i have a clarion hu that i traded for even though i am a clarion dealer i dont have the cash to buy a new one, and i have a set of elevation audio 6.5 coax in the front door....wooohooo!!!!!!!!!! yea baby!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Well my whole point about the disabled part, was that i couldent find a job "because" i am disabled, and because of that, i dont have much money. I was bragging that i am disabled, i was just saying that to give you an understanding that i cant get a job.

And as i said above, i would purchase stuff on ebay, if i had a paypal account.

Right now, i cant use ebay, because as stated above, paypal has ripped me off, along with a lot of other people.

Right now, i am not even gonna bother to respond to this topic anymore.
I think i said enough.

Zero no offense but I believe it was a bit ignorant I believe.....Sometimes people are a bit a pain in the ass...But I believe this thread was to bring it to his attention not to ridicule him....Be easy zero.....So he can be a pain in the ass.....I am sure we all have been one point in time....
