Ok, I think I brought up Phoenix Gold, but their quality wasn't stated. Are they worth buying for his firebird? I know they are relatively cheap, the subs as well as the amps.

Phoenix Gold are so-so... Octane R isn't bad, but IMO you can have much better.

Right, but he is determined to get that brand for his firebird. I told him it was a pretty much everyday brand.

And he plans on paying up to $700 bucks for them :surprised I hope not or he's getting ripped... Hell I could get him a set of 2 Massive Audio CW12"s for a lil over $500 shipped.

No, no no no no. I stated that I was just throwing a number out there before. Those are what it is planning on paying for the ones that go in his blazer. He is 18 and already has two cars, lol. Anyways, he wanted Phoenix for the firebird and I told him they have some for like 100 bucks a piece on sonicelectornix and the amp won't cost him much to power them.

phew (with sigh of relief)...
I was under the impression from what you had put up earlier that he wanted to go a lil better than that with the price range you threw out... If he just wants budget beat the PG's aren't bad.
