Point is, dont spend more on it than you have extra cash on hand. Just in case.
I learned it the hard way.
Exactly, you put something on it for the credit, pay it off completely that month. And make sure you got one of those credit cards that offer 0% interest :) At least take advantage of that.
Oh and happy bday :)
if you want to build up your credit.. take out small loans like $200 or so, and put them back in the bank... and keep doing it.. but dont take a loan out from like a loan shark or something, that wont count on your score..
blah. spent around 4 hours at dealerships... all i can say is blah. finding a decent used car is harder than you think it is i guess... we found one s-10, kinda nice, but it was $7500 and smelled of cigars. we found another nice one, an 03, but it was $12500... over our budget.
ive been searching for about 8 months now that i had what i wanted but then my company fucked me over by pushing back our bonuses (down payment). had everything good to go. until then
When I found my Jeep, I found it in like a week!! And it was a killer deal, went out to see it the first day it got listed. You just gotta search around, and use Autotrader if you havent already.... because most dealerships list their used stuff on sites like that.
The cigar smoke can be easily taken out... drive with the windows down for a while and/or put a box of baking soda in it to take out the smell.
Take a cup, put cotton balls in it and soak them in vanilla extract. An uncle taught me that a while back because he has shrimp and seafood in his car a lot, it'll take nearly any smell out of a car.
i'm thinking i should expand my search for somethign besides a dodge dakota or chevy s-10.. i might look at suvs too.. although i'd much rather have a truck... i think.
