Wow Can't Believe the News I Just Read

I am a big Michigan fan and College football fan in general. I have just learned that Bo Schembechler just passed away. I am a younger guy but I know what Bo and Woody did for the Michigan and OSU rivalry, and Bo dies the day before one of the biggest games ever between the two teams. I am just speachless he had some problems a couple of weeks ago, but looked to be pulling out of them. This is a great loss to the University of Michigan and College Football.

It is all over the news here that is for sure. He was more than just your average football coach that is for sure and it is a shame it happened right before the biggest game between the teams in there history. Hopefully they can keep their heads up and win this one for Bo.

I've been out of the house for quite awhile, and the news has definitely spread around in this area. There have been some very classy OSU fans that told me they were sorry for Michigans lost while I was out and about today.

Definately one of the best college coaches of all time, right up there with Joe Paterno, Tom Osborne, Bobby Bowden, Knute Rockne, Lou Holtz, Vince Dooley. Especially considering the difficulty of both the Big 10 conference as well as all of college football at that time, I just hate he didn't get a National Championship during his reign as head coach. Partly due to the OSU/Michigan rivalry and both of them dominating the conference at that time. Perhaps fuel for the fire considering Saturday's game, intangibles might have just swung to Michigan considering their loss.

I know how it feels to lose such a great coach, though. UGA/Georgia Southern lost Erk Russell this year Definately one of the best coaches the NCAA ever had, especially one of the best defensive coordinators
